"Now we are going to learn how to do some text effects in Photoshop. I am just going to start a new document here. Let's make the background black and start a new layout for a text. Let's make the text white and I'll just type in effects. Now there is many ways to do this. I mean there is thousands of effects you can use on Photoshop to text and some very involved and some are as simple and as quick as a button. I have already showed you guys how to do a glow so let's try some other things shall we? Let's say you want to give your text a little bit of depth, you are going to get a creating overlay. I am sure many of you have seen the kind of light metallic kind of reflection look a lot of our web 2.0 sites use. This is a very simple way to achieve similar effects. We are going to bring the scale down on a black to white face and go to the capacity and bring that down a bit, there you go. You have got a nice little kind of metallic shiny look to that. It is pretty simple to do. Go to color effects, change the color to whatever you want. If you want to make it red. If you want to bring the capacity down so you get a bit of the grading overlay you had already put on do that too. If you want to say you want to make it look 3D go down one box and you can play with the effects of that how deep you want it to look and different contour, you have got plenty of different looks you can do. If we had a white background you could put a drop shadow on it and then if you spent a couple of hours working on it, even a half an hour working on trying to get the perfect effects to your text you can go to new style and save it as whatever you want, red would look o'kay. Now the next time you want to use that effect go across to here we see the color of swatch and styles, click on styles, scroll down to the bottom and there is your new style that you have just created. Photoshop does come with a whole bunch of preset effects you can use as you can see simply click a button and you get a whole bunch of different looks for your tests. It is quite easy really. There we go that is how we create text effects in Photoshop."
