"Okay. Now, we're going to learn how to make a gun brush in Photoshop. So...I mean, this really applies to making any brush as well, but we're going to learn how to use a gun. I just Googled gun and found this one. So open up your gun file when you've found a decent one you want. You should probably try and get one with a white background like I've picked. It just makes it a little bit easier to edit. I'm just going to drag the background so it's not locked and delete the other one. Now, I'm going to use a selection tool and I'm going to select all the white and hold down Shift so that you can select a little bit more of it. I mean, you can spend hours doing this kind of stuff. I'm just kind of rushing it through. Have fun at cleaning it up a little bit. So I'm going to click selection mask, get the paintbrush out, and select a nice size. You want a hardened edge, not too soft. Just draw in all the parts you want to make sure it gets...stays as your brush. Obviously, I'm doing this very quickly, so make sure you take your time. I'm just going to delete out a bit of the...some of the shadow here. All right. That's good enough for now. Let's turn up the layer mask, and you should have a selection of white around the gun. I'm going to press delete, and it should show you the transparent behind it. Now, go to your layer hold-down command and click the gun, and it should select your gun. Now, we're going to go up to Edit, go down to define brush preset, click okay. I'm going to call it gun. Click okay. And now, we should have a nice gun brush. Let's start a new document. Go to paintbrush, scroll around. There it is. There's your gun brush. Use as you will. So there you go. That's how we make a gun brush in Photoshop."
