How to Make Avatars With Photoshop

"We are going to learn how to make an avatar. Say you have got a photo of yourself you want to use in MySpace or Facebook or even in a little version of yourself to use around the web or whatever sites you like to use maybe in forums or something we are going to use our friend here who we fixed up his teeth before. We are going to say it is your face and we make an avatar. Avatars can really be anything, they can be cartoons or real photos or whatever you generally just want to cut out a version of your head from your neck up so we are going to use a crop tool to start and just go and drag that down and make it a nice square. There is the head like that and you probably might want to put your name somewhere so get the text out and just drag it up here and it creates the fun a bit, type name in there and drag it down here and maybe you want to make a little like a video avatar. Let's see it is free, use this tool and add another layer and drag that layer down under the pic and fill it in with black like there, very simple. Maybe you want to make it add a little boarder to it and go to canvas size and click on that and click it in the middle so that is good, the background color is going to be to make it white on this one and you can change whatever color you want and I just knocked it up by maybe one inch so that is put that to 8 and that to 8 and there you go. It didn't give us color but we can do that ourself just fill that in with black or whatever. There you go that's how you make an avatar for yourself on Photoshop."
