"In this segment I am going to talk about how to become a graphic designer. One of the first steps would be to actually you could apply to take some classes on the college level. That would by my best suggestion because currently the field of commercial art has advanced even from when I was in college and the level of study has advanced where a lot of the up and coming designers are being taught software programs directly on the computer and there are programs that would be essential as a designer to learn and one of them would be Photoshop and Quark Express is a desktop publishing program that I use on a regular basis. There is also illustrator programs like illustrator and freehand that allow you to create corporate identity. And all collectively those programs would be taught on the college level but I think also you would learn basic knowledge of design elements and there would be some like drawing classes and some photography classes but also in a college level there would be some public speaking, different things that will make an up and coming graphic designer well versed when dealing with a client out in the real world. And I think proper education is essential even with an Associate's Degree in the field of commercial art, one could land a decent job, but it at least gives you the basic knowledge in how to do desktop publishing and how to design on a computer which currently if you have that basic knowledge you should be able to land a pretty decent design, job in the field of graphic design."
