"Hello, my name is Izabella and now I'm going to show you how to run chkdsk on Windows XP. This tool is specially developed for checking errors on the hard drives. Run Windows XP normally. Now, access the my computer menu and here, right click on the drive on which you wish to run the chkdsk F command. Now click on properties and and right click on text menu. Click on the tool tab in the properties window and the check now button in the error checking frame in the tools tab. Click in the automatically fix file system errors check box. Now click start to begin the chkdsk command. If there are a lot of processes running in the background, or if chkdsk determines that it should be run when next you restart your computer, it will suggest it. Set your system to safe mode with a safe boot command from the MS config program. Click start and run. Type MSConfig and enable the safe boot option from the boot type tab if you're anti-virus or anti-spy software is conflicted with the chkdsk process. Now you can click on okay and finally click on restart."
