"Hi, my name is Laura, and today, I'm going to talk about time management skills for new students. For the purpose of this, I'm going to assume that you're a new student in college, so when you start your first year of college, it's very hard to juggle a social life with your classes, with your extracurricular activities, and of course, with trying to get yourself to sleep, at least regularly most of the time, so first of all, you need to have a list. I recommend having a list. This is how I actually organize my time. A list that has your classes on it, as well as your responsibilities during the week, for that particular day, so you're going to want to change your list weekly, and make sure that you've got all your stuff together. This is really for people who are especially busy, or who really want to keep track of everything. Instead of having a list, or also sort of like a companion with the list, you can actually have a big wall calendar, on which you can place in very bright text, when your big assignments are due, so that you can refer to that as you're going through the week, so you can look ahead, so you not only want to have your micro list, but your macro calender. You might go so far as to keep a small daily planner with you, if you're really, really busy, and you really need to know exactly when your next meeting is going to be, and what hour of the day, everyday, or you can always put your schedule into your phone, or into your gmail account on the Google calendar. If you have things like that, access and stuff like that, and then that way, you'll be able to go to any computer, or just look over your phone, and have all your stuff typed in, and ready for you to go, so those are some ways to manage your time as a new student."
