"Symptoms of thyroid problems in adults. Let's first differentiate between the types of thyroid problems that can occur. Hypothyroidism is the under secretion of the gland and hyper is the over secretion of the gland. Let's take the hypo symptoms first which is the decrease amount. The person may present with a slow rate, especially with slow metabolism rate because they'll also present with fatigue and hair loss and weight gain, cold sensitivity. Many times they may have a heart problem due to increase cholesterol. That could be also due to lack of exercise too along with the programs that are provided for to decrease cholesterol. Could also present with depression, joint pain and headaches. Hyperthyroidism on the other hand, the person may present with an increased energy level. They could also present with a heart problems due to the demand on the heart, loss of bone, insomnia and chest pain and shortness of breath could just be a few of the things that are presented for hyperthyroidism."
