"Hi this is Gilson Barbarian Oliveira from New York. In this clip we have a Muay Thai rules and how they differ from the other martial arts. When it comes to Muay Thai we have no more then five rounds per fight. Each round will last three minutes and you have two minutes in between rounds. Depends how things were determined before the fight, that's very important. The second, who ever is part of your corner they can not intervene. Things that we have in boxer right, that we throw the towel and say listen we are done, we are done, we are done. In Muay Thai this does not happen at all unless this was predetermined by contract at least verbal contract even the seconds can not stop the fight. Can not throw the towel, they just can't you have to go to the end which is very interesting. It's something to think about. Other things when it comes to Muay Thai is points. You see all the fighters they have a stance with both elbows up ok this way, protecting the head mostly. When you have the boxers only protecting the chin why is that. Because in Muay Thai rules the points really really important for you to add up in a fight are the strikes to the head. With the kicks you strike to the head with the elbows. The combination that you apply are not as important for them as would be for a boxing, a boxer. So why they have their hands up it's about, everything is about head. Kicks and elbows.
