"Hi, my name is Laura, and today I'm going to talk with you about how to publish student writing. The easiest and best way to publish student writing is to do it for free, and to do it on the internet. There's a great website called KidPub.com, in which you can self publish these writings by your students. But in order to get them there, you're going to have to give them writing assignments that will help them succeed. So all of your students are going to need to work on their writing, and really revise for publishing purposes. Make sure that when you submit this stuff that it's been revised, and it's been looked at. The grammatical errors have been corrected, and that it's really a good representation of them, because, believe it or not, they could actually put it on their resume, eventually, for college or for a job doing something, you know, to do with writing. So think about that when ever you're helping your students get published. And it's also very important to help them get published because it's going to show them the fruit of their writing labors, it's going to show them that writing is not just something that you do in the classroom, it gets graded, handed back, and then, you know, thrown in the trash, or put up on the fridge by your mom. It's going to be put up, you know, for everyone to see, and for everyone, you know, to really take in. So you're going to have to make sure that it's the best representation of them. But it's very important for them to be able to put that out there, and feel that sense of accomplishment. And make sure that they're ready to publish, make sure that you're not, you know, pushing any of these students in to it. Make sure that they know that it's a good thing for them, and that they're comfortable, you know, having their stuff up on the internet like that. And really, that's all there is to it. If you just to find these websites where you can publish for free, or you can even publish yourself on the website, to do it like that, and you can also find websites that will provide a service of publishing an actual book that you can feel, and see to publish these student's writing. And you can always go to the school newspaper and make, sort of, amends with the person who runs that in order to get the kids stories and things in to that paper. So, there are many avenues for publishing student writing, and you just have to find the one that works fro you."
