"In this clip, we're going to talk about how to sell artwork. Well, there are a few ways to do this. Number one, would be to build up a portfolio of your best work, and try to get hired with an art house or design company, as an artist, and obviously when you do this, you'll be doing working as an artist by trade, and you'll be on salary, and you'll have benefits and all the other perks, that comes with working for a company, and this in a sense is selling your art, and that's a lot of people, that's their dream, to get a job with an animation studio, or a graphic design company, and even though this is essentially getting paid for your art, it's not quite the same thing as selling it, so when it comes specifically to selling it, another route you might take as an artist, is to set up a studio or a gallery. See if you can find some sort of art dealer to work with you, or an agent of some kind, that deals in gallery openings, and art shows, and see if you can just get your work out there that way. There are festivals all across the country that are on a smaller scale, that first time artists can display their work at, even if it's at sort of a bazaar/smorgasbord type situation, where everyone's got their own little booth set up, and you're there with your collection of artwork, and people just kind of walk through, and take a look. That is a great way to kind of get your foot in the door, and generate some buzz and interest in your designs, and in sort of going along with this idea of showcasing your art at different venues, it would be a good idea to establish a website that you can direct your possible customers to. Let's say you're at one of these art openings or galleries, and someone comes up to you and says, "Man, I love that work that you did. Is there any way I could see more of your stuff?" Obviously, you don't have the ability to drag your entire collection along with you, everywhere you go, but just give them your card, that has your web address on it, and they can go and look through any number of pieces that you've posted on your very own website, and these days, it's incredibly easy to sell anything that way, not just art, but just about anything you want to sell. If you want to get into a small business, setting up a web page is almost essential in getting your work out there, basically, so those are just a few ways that you could go about selling your art."
