Hi, I'm Trina Sims of Green Star Herbs and today I'm going to tell you a little about kombucha tea. This is a sweet tea fermented by a symbiotic colony of microorganisms that form what's called a zoogleal mat. It has a slightly sweet, sour flavor and a hint of a fizz, it's slightly acid and it naturally has a tiny proportion of alcohol, not enough to have an effect. It's purported to have a brood range of health benefits of all sorts, but there have been some adverse effects associated with it. Unfortunately, kombucha tea is easily contaminated and some samples have been shown to have dangerous microorganisms. So, if you're going to use kombucha tea, make certain that you're getting it from a reliable, safe, clean source. I hope you find this information helpful, thank you!
