"Hi, we're here today to talk about how to file a tax return. There are... typically there are three forms. There are the 1040EZ, which is the simplest form, there is 1040A, and then the 1040. The 1040EZ, if you make less than a hundred thousand and you don't have any real deductions and it's pretty straightforward. Most people will use that. The 1040A, if you have dependents and there are some other tax credits and things that if you take advantage of, you have to use the 1040A. For people who want to itemize deductions, the 1040 is the form that has to be used. Typically, it's getting to where now to itemize, your standard deduction is a little over ten thousand dollars, so in order to make it worth while to itemize, it takes a pretty good amount of deductions, so you just need to review your available deductions and your situation and pick the simplest form that's applicable to your situation."
