"Disability benefits and whether or not they're taxable... It really depends on the type of benefit and there's a multitude of things that come into play with disability benefits. It depends on who played the premiums on the policy that you're collecting against. It depends on what type disability you're collecting and it's far more complicated than we can do justice to in a short period of time, but if you will look at your forms it will typically guide you in the right direction in terms of if have a disability and you put it in to the form, it will reference you to specific directions to your type of disability and will kind of walk you through whether or not you should claim it as taxable income or not taxable. I would also encourage you to get in touch with the office that's administering the disability and see if they can give you some guidance as to whether or not it would be taxable or non-taxable."
