"All right, folks. In this clip, we're going to talk about movie making for kids. In this day and age, making movies is easier than it has ever been in any other time in history. And just about anybody can do it as long as they can speak in complete sentences and operate a computer. If you're a kid looking to make a...you know, your first film and you've got a passion for it and you want to become a director someday and you just...or you just love making movies because it's fun, a simple way to do this would be to borrow your folks' camera and call some buddies over and write a story up. Shoot it with your mom and dad's video camera, upload it on to the computer and use a program like iMovie or Windows Movie Maker to cut and paste these short movies that you've made with your buddies together. And by doing that, you learn so much about, you know, the actual process of movie making and how to piece a story together and have it make sense and how to...you know, the difference between, you know, good acting and bad acting. Even a child can spot this once they've had, you know, enough experience and have seen and done enough themselves to realize, "Okay. That didn't work. Let's try this." So if you're a kid looking to make a film, my recommendation is utilize all the different amazing tools that you have at your disposal -- digital cameras, you know, using the software that comes with most of our computers these days. Do a lot of it. Start from scratch, start out simple and small. Use sets like your own home. Don't, you know, make too big a production right away. But basically, just, you know, start producing movies. Like, even if they're just small, amateur ones. Eventually, as time goes on, you're going to start to get the hang of it. You'll learn from your mistakes, and even though you're starting out small with just your mom and dad's video camera and your...you know, on your own personal computer to edit the movies on, you're still gaining invaluable experience. And if you're serious about becoming a filmmaker some day, there's no better time than now to start. So you know, that's basically how you go about it."
