"Hi. My name is Dave Andrews. Today, I'm going to show you what can be deleted, to make your computer run faster. Let's go to our computer. First thing I'm going do, is I'm going to show you a program called Ms Config. or Microsoft Config. Just click on your start button and go to run, or if you're on microsoft vista, just type it right above the start icon. Type ms, for microsoft, config. c-o-n-f-i-g. Let's run that program. On vista, you have to be an administrator, so click continue. And what were going to do with this program is control what opens at start up. So, let's go to the start up tab. And this lists all the programs that want to run when your computer starts up. If there checked, they actually will run, if there not checked, they'll be blocked from running. So, I'm going to uncheck, let's say, I open office.org. I'm going to uncheck that, so that will no longer run when my computer starts up. You can uncheck all of these. I wouldn't uncheck anything that says driver, and you don't want to uncheck your anti-virus as well. So, when you’re done, click apply, and then click ok. It's going to ask you if you want to restart. You may want to go ahead restart, but I'm going to click on exit without restart. When your computer comes back up it'll probably run a lot faster because it doesn't have all those background programs running. Now, let's open our web browser. We're going to delete our temporary internet files, by going to tools, and down to internet options. Lets click the delete tab, and under temporary internet files, let's click on delete files. This is going to go through and it's going to clear out our temporary internet files, which are our files that are downloaded as we browse the internet. Those can build up and really make your hard drive really run quite a bit sluggishly, as its trying to parsh through all those files. Just click that, click close, and click ok. My name is Dave Andrews, and I've just showed you what can be deleted to make a computer run faster."
