"Hi, my name is Dave Andrews, and today I'm going to try to answer some frequently asked questions about Microsoft certifications. Now, Microsoft certifications are a series of exams and credentials that have been put out by Microsoft basically to allow somebody who is knowledgeable in part of their technology to show that they are knowledgeable by gaining a certification. You can get it at any exam center that offers Microsoft certifications. They're scattered around the country. Most of your your big cities, a lot of even your smaller cities will have Microsoft exam centers so it's very easy to find a location where you can go to take Microsoft exams. Now, what I'm going to do next is I'm going to show you on the Internet how to get information about Microsoft certifications. Let's open up our web browser, and we're going to go to microsoft.com, and on their site I'm basically just going to search for certification. Now, if you scroll down a little bit here, let's try certifications. Now now, one of the first links is going to be about Microsoft certifications. Let's just click on that. Now, basically this site here is going to give you all the information that you're going to need about Microsoft certifications. I'm going to go into the technology section, and this will allow me to choose the certification that I want to go for based upon the technology that it is based around such as Microsoft SQL Server 2008. MCTS is one of the Microsoft certifications. That stands for Microsoft Certified Technical Specialist, and if I click on that and I scroll down to the bottom it's going to show you the paths that you can take to achieve this. Basically, there's a couple of exams that you can take to get the SQL Server 2008 Microsoft certification. If you click on the exam it'll then give you information about the exam such as the books you can get, e-learning that you can sign up for, and even classroom training where you can attend a class. It's that easy to get information from Microsoft on the certification that you're interested in. My name is Dave Andrews, and I've just told you a little bit about Microsoft certifications."
