How to Transfer Files From PC to PC

"Hi, my name's Dave Andrews. Today, I'm going to show you how to transfer files from PC to PC. One of the easiest ways to do this is to use a little external USB hard drive similar to this one. It basically has a USB connection which looks just like this. It's kind of a square connection, maybe rectangular on the end, basically. And most new and modern computers have USB connections, including Windows computers and Macs, Linux -- they're all compatible with USB. So the easiest way to move files is to get you a little external drive like this. Take your USB connection, and I'm just going to plug it into the computer. And once it's plugged in, your computer should recognize that the USB drive has been plugged in. And that's going to pop up a window similar to this one, and it's going to tell you that it has located a new removable disk that's been plugged in. Just scroll down to the bottom of this list and click on Open Folder to View Files. Now, what I'm going to do to transfer files onto this removable disk is I'm going to hit this middle button at the top that will allow me to minimize my window to make it smaller, basically. If I move this over, I'm going to transfer this file -- My File.txt -- over to my external hard drive. And the way I'm doing that is I clicked on it, I held my mouse button down, and I'm going to drag it into this window here that represents the external drive. And I just let it...let go of it. And now, this file has been copied onto that external hard drive. If I unplug this drive, that window will go away just like that. It took me back to the root of my hard drive. And I can take this external drive along with me and plug it into any computer. My name's Dave Andrews, and I've just showed you how to transfer files from PC to PC."
