"Hi, my name's Dave Andrews. Today, I'm going to show you how to update any device driver on your computer. Let's go to our computer. And what we're going to do is click on the Start button, and then we're going to right-click on the Computer -- or on Windows XP, it'd be My Computer -- and then click on Manage. Now, in Windows Vista, you have to be an administrator to open that, so just click Continue. Now, what this'll bring up is the Computer Management screen. It gives you a lot of information about the configuration settings and the hardware in your computer. What we're interested in is the Device Manager, so let's just click on that. Now, what this is doing is listing out all the hardware in our computer. For instance, let's say we want to update our display adapter driver. I'm going to expand this little display adapter. As you can see, I'm using an NVIDIA MCP67M driver for my display. So now that I know what make and model, basically, of hardware I'm using, I need to go to that manufacturer's website -- in this case, NVIDIA -- and I'm going to look for an updated driver from their website. Just type in there...usually, it's just going to be the company's name dot com. And then once you get to your manufacturer's website, if you'll just look through the different links that they have available, you'll usually find something about drivers. In this case, I would go to the Download Drivers section and look for the driver for my NVIDIA MCP67M. From that point, I can just download it and install it, just like any other program. My name's Dave Andrews, and I've just showed you how to update any device driver on your computer."
