"Hi, my name is Dave Andrews. Today I'm going to show you how to make invitations on your computer. Let's go to our computer and we're going to use Microsoft Word. So let's click on the start button; let's go to all programs. We're going to find Microsoft Office and we're going to open up Microsoft Office Word. Now there are several components of an invitation that we want to include; the first is a page border. Let's go to the page layout tab and click on page borders. This is going to pull up a screen that allows us to choose a border for a page and you can choose one of these designs here or you can go to art and choose one of these artistic ones. I'm going to do a birthday invitation; so let's choose this birthday cake icon here; click okay. As you can see, it has just added a little birthday cake border to our page; it's going to make it a little more interesting. Now scroll down to the middle; go to the home tab; I'm going to center my text and I'm going to type your invited. I'm going to highlight that and I'm going to make it red and basically going to increase the font size on that. Let's go to 48 and I'm going to make it a more interesting font such as Comic Sanz, "You're Invited". Now let's do the regular details that you're going to be used to seeing on say, a birthday invitation. This is going to be for, Dave's Birthday Party. When? February 27th; let's spell February; February 27th at 2:00 PM. Where? We're going to do that in Tinkerbell Park in Franklin. Who? Dave. So, you know, this is just a really basic invitation here. It says, "You're invited. Dave's birthday party", and you could do some things like inserting clip art. Basically, I click on the insert tab and click art. I'm going to search for clown and I can grab the clip art out of, out of here; you actually, you have to be connected to the Internet in order for that to work. But you would see clip art here and you just move it over and you can drop it into the center, right there. But this is a easy way to make a good-looking invitation. My name is Dave Andrews and I've just showed you how to make invitations on your computer."
