Hi my name is Dave Andrews. Today I'm going to show you how to clean a laptop keyboard. What we're going to use to do this is a little piece of microfiber cloth, I've also heard it referred to as sort of a cheesecloth, that's another name for it. You can get this at any computer store and we're also going to use some air duster which you can get at office stores or computer stores, just about anywhere. Now what happens most often on a laptop is little bits of dirt or food will get down in between the keys on your laptop. You can also get smudges on top of the keys. Now we're going to use the air duster to get the stuff out of the in between in the keys and we're going to use the microfiber to clean the top of the keys. So just take the microfiber and just very, very gently rub across the key that you want to clean, it's important that you don't use any kind of liquids such as alcohol or water to clean these, you're just going to really, really gently rub across the top of the keyboard here making sure not to push too hard on top of the keys because you might damage them if you push really hard. Now that will get dust and smudges off of the tops of the keyboard. To get down inside the keyboard, you're going to use this air duster. Now you want to hold it at an angle, about a 45 degree angel that way air will go in under the key and out and that will push the dust with it. And you want to also do a short bursts of air, you don't want to do a long, prolonged holding down the button because this will actually condense into a liquid and spray out over your keyboard. So I'm just going to do real quick, short bursts like that, I actually blew the straw off with that but that's OK. Just get down in between, as you can see I did it a little too hard, a little too long and out came a liquid and that's what will happen and you don't want to do too much of that. So just do a real quick burst with this air duster and that's going to spray the dust that's in between these cracks on your keyboard out. My name is Dave Andrews and I've just showed you how to clean a laptop keyboard.
