on 9/16/2009 Vitamin D3 is actually cholecalciferol, and niacin is actually vitamin B3. I think she may have gotten them mixed up there, Vitamin D is much different than any of the B vitamins.

"Hi I'm Ashleigh Gass, Strength and Conditioning Specialist of brilliantathlete.com. Vitamin D3 is Niacin or Niacinamide and this is the vitamin that has a reputation for creating that flush if you take more than what you are used to, that kind of overall body flush and you while you have got to be careful with your dosage of it if you are increasing your intake of Niacin just make sure you are working with a healthcare practitioner because if you are not aware of that flushing sensation and it happens it can be a little bit of a scary sensation but the best sources are meats and fish and of course it is available in vitamin form but it is something that you would not necessarily take in isolation outside of a good multivitamin. If you think that you would need to supplement for it for any reason make sure you talk to a naturopathic physician in order to get proper guidelines on taking Niacin. With this and with any other of the B vitamins or vitamins and minerals in general the best way to get them is from a variety of fresh vegetables and fruits. It is also important if you are taking a multivitamin product, whatever you are taking is pharmaceutical grade. There is a big difference between vitamins that you just buy off the self at any super store versus something that you get that is pharmaceutical quality.
