"Hi, this is Double Agent Arce with the Geek Squad here to show you how to connect a broadband modem to your computer. Now, the first step is to get a power outlet. Plug in your power cord in the wall, and then the other end into the modem. Once you've got the modem plugged into power, you can then attach a coaxial cable to the modem to make sure you get the signal from your Internet service provider directly to the modem. The lights on the modem will light up. After that happens, you can connect either an Ethernet cable to the modem and then to your computer. Or if your computer doesn't have Ethernet, you can use a USB cable to connect to the modem in a similar spot, and again on the computer. Now, once you've got the modem plugged in, there may be some additional steps you need to take to get service activated through your broadband service. So just make sure to give an agent a call, and we can help you with anything you need."
