"Let me say this, if if you want to get rich, it's not, maybe not the field for you. So, I mean I, I earn a pretty good income and people earn more or less than I do. I'm not sure how to tell you what a range would be. It it just depends on what ed, education you're getting in at and and you know, and how successful you are, obviously. But, you're, you're never going to get rich doing it, but you'll always lead an interesting life, yeah, that's, there's more important things than getting rich, how many papers you publish and this kind of thing. People look at, you know, how how how good your work is just like in anything. You know, you get evaluated on how well, what you, how well you do what you do and a lot of institutions, you are required to pay your own salary through grants and contracts. Your salary is not typically determined by how many grants you bring in but by how successful your work is, you know. You can bring in a lot of grants and contracts, but what they're really interested in is good science."
