"In this segment we'll be talking about cholesterol levels. So, being a trainer, actually, and being a health coach, I hear a lot of this nowadays. You know, my cholesterol levels are high. So when you go to the doctor, I just want you to know what to look for. So, your total cholesterol really should be under 200. That's what you're looking for when you go to the doctor and they start to throw some numbers at you. Okay. Then they're going to break down your cholesterol into bad cholesterol, which is LDL, and you can remember that by L, low. Bad cholesterol. Less than 100 is where you want that. And HDL is the good cholesterol. You want that to be 60 or above. So those are the numbers you're really going to look for when you're at the doctor and they're giving you your cholesterol reading. And now the key to really prevent high cholesterol is to move. Exercise, guys! Do something you love! Get out there and start moving. Get that heart pumping. And, eat right. So remember, stay away from those animal products, like meats and cheeses and things like that that actually get those arteries to harden. And really start getting those plant based foods into your system, 'cause when those arteries harden, remember, that artery is nice and thick, you know, and the bloods pumping through, and as we start to get high cholesterol, it's closing up. And now it can't really get through to our heart like it needs to, and the heart's pumping, and then what happens is the heart, it gets damaged and then stroke and heart attack and heart disease is caused. So, really, these are the key numbers to look for when you go to the doctor, so that you're aware and you know what to look for, and what to do if this happens, is you're going to exercise, and you're going to just change your diet, and I've seen tons of improvements just by doing those two things."
