Video Transcript

"Hello my name is Dr. Sian Evans. I am a scientist at Monkey Jungle in Miami, Florida. In this clip we are going to talk about how snow monkeys protect themselves. Snow monkeys are older monkeys and they live in Japan that means they live outside of the tropics an they have to protect themselves in general in the way that any monkey would have to protect themselves and that is against predators and they have to protect themselves specifically from the cold winters that they live in. Monkeys in general protect themselves by living in large social groups, many eyes can spot a predator way in advance of one pair of eyes and warning calls can be given to other group members and the poor little snow monkeys that live in wintry areas they help to protect themselves from the cold by bathing in hot springs. This has been Dr. Sian Evans."
