"Hello my name is Dr. Loretta Ciraldo, board certified dermatologist and author of Six Weeks to Sensational Skin. In this clip we're going to talk about homemade acne treatments. Many of us may try certain acne treatments at home and the trust is many of them do have some good validity. Especially things like witch hazel which is very, very effective at drawing outer pores and not only helping us to get rid of existing acne lesions but often times witch hazel can be very helpful in preventing new lesions. Another thing that often happens with acne is that acne can become very inflamed and unfortunately if you've got a pimple or pustule, which is a pus filled pimple, that is inflamed then a very calming acne treatment will be to apply something like cucumber over the area of inflammation. It will often calm the area and help to rid you of your acne lesion much faster. This is Dr. Loretta Ciraldo."
