"Hi I'm Trina Sims of Green Star Herbs and I'm going to talk a little about the health benefits of stem baths. In the very first place steam baths dilate the capillaries and small blood vessels in the skin. This promotes increased circulation and nourishes the skin itself. The dilating of the capillaries also helps lower our core blood pressure and may even help relieve tension headaches and lessen some migraines. Steam baths promote sweating and skin detoxification without causing dehydration which is another great advantage over dry heat. Steam baths promote lymph circulation and of course lymph is our basic internal detoxifying system throughout the tissues so detoxification of the tissues is boosted. Exposure to the moist heat of a steam bath also helps boost the immune system. The warm steam may as well directly fight a number of infections or infestations. The warm steam also helps thin mucous and promotes expectoration thereby alleviating sinus or chest congestion. Warm heat also is a wonderful wonderful remedy for muscle aches, pains and general physical tension of all kinds. I hope this information on some of the health benefits of steam baths has been useful to you. Thank you."
