"How does one become an excellent dancer? Dancing is not a sport, it is a beautiful art form that takes years and years and years to master. I feel that dancers always have something new that they can learn as dance styles have changed and formed throughout the centuries so much. Taking class is an important aspect of becoming an excellent dancer. And learning new techniques along the way is very, very important in becoming an expert at this art form. Often times I also find it's a great idea to use your creative juices with other dancers and find what inspires them. You can get inspiration from some of your favorite dancers. Going back and watching old movie musicals and trying to recreate some of that same style from the past. Going to live performances and getting re-energized about your art form. And sometimes just being in the studio yourself, putting on some music and continuing to work on the different things that you feel that you still want to grasp a better hold of. Either way, through the years dancing is an ever growing art form. You will change with it as you grow and mature."
