"How to dance. How does one really learn how to dance? In my opinion the truth is we are all born to dance. It is one of the basic things that children do. They run around and they dance and adults love to dance also. There are some differences however between an amateur dancer and a professional dancer. As an amateur, you may just enjoy taking class or going out to dance clubs and moving because it makes you feel good. A professional dancer however does it for their living. That is how they pay the bills. They may dance on Broadway, they may do video shoots or tour with artists. Professional dancers spend many, many hours of their lives taking class and really, really working on perfecting their technique. Often times professional dancers are trained in all styles of dance. From ballet to tap, to jazz, to lyrical and contemporary and partnering. They want to be very, very well versed in all styles so that they're more hireable. An amateur dancer however may just focus on one style of a dance such as tap classes or taking a ballet class for maybe working on their flexibility. At any rate, depending on your level of dance and desire, you too can become the best dancer that you want to be."
