"The question is asked, "How do we oil a baseball glove?" Well, the first thing we need to do is figure out what we're going to oil the baseball glove with. There are many options. The one that I prefer the most is tanner's oil. It can be gotten at many sporting goods stores, and hardwood stores, simply tanner's oil. You can also use needs foot oil. The only problem with needs foot oil if you use a large amount of it. It tends to make the glove a little bit heavy. That's the reason I prefer tanner's oil. There are also a lot of different new oils that they have that can be purchased at baseball stores or sporting goods stores. They go from all kinds of foams to oils to other things. All of those things could be good. I'm not recommending any of them, nor am I telling you that they're not good products. I would suggest that you simply try them. I will tell you however that tanner's oil is good for softening the glove. It is also good for protecting the glove and to keep it from wearing. Make sure that you apply the tanner's oil or whatever oil it is that you're using to the pocket of the glove where the ball strikes it many times. But also remember to put some of it on the inside of the glove. The hand tends to sweat and wear out the leather and also make it crack over time. So make sure that you put some of that oil inside the glove where your hand fits and also in the pocket where the ball is going to strike it. And that's how you oil a baseball glove."
