Hello, my name is Zephr Clarke-Dolberg in Miami, Florida with Miami Dog Training. In this clip we're going to talk about when puppies need their first shots. So, this is Rukus and Rukus is five months old today, as a matter of fact. And he's got all of his shots until he's a year old in which case he'll need his rabies at a year old. He already does have a rabies shot though. And that's because different states require different shots and different amounts of shots. And so, he actually came from Ohio so he was given his rabies shot earlier than a lot of other dogs maybe would have. So he needs five sets of shots usually by the time he's about five months. And then he'll get another one when he's a year old, most likely a rabies, and get his rabies tag then. But one of the things about the shots is it really protects them from a lot of crippling debilitating diseases. So it's important to make sure that your puppies are up to dates on their shots and if you have any questions ask your local vet. Because like I said, different states, different laws, different rules. Once again, this is Zephyr Clarke-Dolberg with Miami Dog Training and this is Rukus.
