"Signs and symptoms of depression could be loss of interest. You will see that someone is just very apathetic. They have lost interest in the activities of daily living. They feel sad without really knowing why. They perhaps may cry and for no reason. They have a feeling of hopelessness. They may have trouble with insomnia, sleeping at night, trying to rest but they just can't rest, trouble focusing, confusion, trouble with decisions. They may become irritable and restless, fatigued and weak. Their sex drive is down. They have suicidal behavior, unexplained headaches, backaches or body aches and so you might also see that these people may have less interest in themselves. They may not comb their hair or maybe have good hygiene like they used to and you will be able to see some changes in their behavior. You may also see a lot of just building up of things around them within their house or where they live or just not bothering to file things or to leave things just kind of unkept. These are some of the signs and symptoms of depression."
