Hello my name is Rebecca Herrick. I am a licensed massage therapist in Wilmington, North Carolina and I'm here to tell you what primrose oil is. Primrose is also called evening primrose and the oil is taken from the seed of a plant called primrose and basically this oil can be taken in many different ways. One of the most common ways is through a capsule of various dosages that's where your doctor comes in and basically what this oil is used for are skin conditions, irritations, rashes, eczema, various types of dermatitis or skin inflammation. It has been shown through studies to really benefit and calm and sooth skin irritation. Another use for evening primrose oil is in womens' health. It has been shown in studies to help with PMS and help reduce breast soreness as well as reduce the signs of menopause. Those are a few examples of how evening primrose oil is used and that tells you a little bit about primrose oil is.
