"My name is Josie Minks and I'm a labor and delivery nurse and I am going to talk to you about conceiving after a miscarriage. It is recommended that you wait for a whole menstrual cycle, at least one menstrual cycle for your body to heal and return to normalcy. It's often recommended that you wait for three menstrual cycles before you start trying to conceive again. But usually after a miscarriage, your body may continue to bleed for four to five days, up to two weeks after the miscarry. And so it's a good idea to help, to let your body heal and that includes emotions too 'cause it can be very difficult after a loss, and so you want your body and your emotions and your heart to heal before you attempt to conceive and that is what the recommendations of conceiving after a miscarriage."
