"Hello, this is Andrew Reynolds and today I'm going to show you how to make a half knot, something traditional for friendship bracelets and just a simple way to make those. Basically you have one strand going down through the center and you place another string underneath that so that this is basically where you're just going to start your rope. And basically it's just an overhand knot back and forth. But if you're not familiar with an overhand knot you just basically take your string and tie it right over left and then kind of pull it tight there. Now basically what you're going to be doing is flipping the knot around to either side and going right over left once again, just a little bit below the last one you tied. And then of course right over left again. You just keep going you know, typically this is people have very long strings. Once you get good at it you can just kind of reverse the process and not have to keep flipping it over. And basically you just through one study hall or however long it takes, you just kind of keep going that and it just gives your bracelet a little bit more of a thickness to it, into something kind of solid so as you keep going you get that down all the way. But that in its essence is what a half knot is used for and how do it. Thanks for watching."
