"Hello, this is Andrew Reynolds, and today I'm going to show you how to make a sheet bend knot. This is a very effective way to join two knots together, but it's also very easy to untie. So basically, you just take your first rope and create a a little twist in it so you have kind of an eyehole here. And you'll take your second rope and you'll go up through your original little loop there. Then, you go back around behind the two pieces of rope, and you're not going to go back through and create somewhat of a square knot. You're going to actually just, that first instance where it came up and through, you're going to pick that up a little bit and then you're just going to put it under and across. Now, this pulls together very similarly to what a square knot would be, but as you can see it doesn't go back through the loop and that's what creates a sheet bend. It's just as secure as a square knot but, once again, it's very easy to untie because this is not as pinched as that is right there. So, that is a sheet bend. Thanks for watching."
