Video Transcript

"So, you've just gotten that call from that favorite employer and you're thinking, oh, what do I do to make a good impression at the job interview. Hi, I'm Shannon Terry, I'm an interview skills coach and resume writer with Resume Confidence, here to help you have a great interview. First of all, arrive early, about fifteen, ten, fifteen minutes is good, but no earlier. Treat everyone you encounter from the guard at the gate to the receptionist with courtesy and respect. They often will ask these people, what did you think of that person, so make sure you impress them as well. Remember names, most people don't, right, o.k, but when you do, you'll make a great impression. Remember your eye contact with everybody in the room, and be aware of your body language, sit up, maybe lean forward a little bit, try not to fidget, or lean back in your chair too much. This probably goes without saying, but dress appropriately for the job and the position for which you seek. Answer your questions in a clear, concise way. Structure them so that they're easy to follow. And, last but not least, breath, smile and relax. You'll do great. I'm Shannon Terry, an interview skills coach and resume writer with Resume Confidence here to help you have a great interview."
