Hi friends, I'm Mark Govan here with ABC Pest Control in Largo, Florida and some people ask us what are some natural ways to kill fleas in the home? Well I have got a couple of things that you can use inside the home. Some people have recommended salt and salt could be used because salt is what we call a desiccant and it is actually little fine crystals and when we spread these over a carpet the fleas come in contact with it and it tends to help to dry out the fleas which will kill them. Now once applied you go ahead and leave that there for so long, maybe a couple of days then you have to vacuum the material up. Remember vacuuming alone will help to disturb and kill fleas too but by using salt that again will help to dry out those fleas. There is another product that people use called Borax again sprinkling it over the carpeted areas and that too helps to kill fleas by using it as a desiccant and again it's an abrasion using the desiccant as an abrasion. The fleas come into contact with it and it dries them out so these are two natural products that you can use in the home to go ahead and get rid of fleas and in combination with vacuuming you can help to eliminate fleas in the house. I am Mark Govan with ABC Pest Control in Largo, Florida and hoping you have a pest free day.
