Hi the other day I was asked how do I get rid of rain spiders? That was kind of a perplexing question and I'm going to try to answer it. I'm Michael Piacenzo from Advantage Pest Control. The reason that that is perplexing is that rain spiders are actually from South Africa. So if you have got a problem with rain spiders here the first prevention is quit buying from the pet store and putting them in your house. Alright so if you have rain spiders the best way to get rid of them is like you would any other spider, now mind you rain spiders are huge. They're one of the biggest spiders out there. They are not real aggressive but if you threaten them they will bite. So the best way to treat rain spiders would be to put down a dust. If you want to use a synthetic something like Seven Dust is not too dangerous. There are some botanical dusts, biopesticides, dusts are always the best things for spiders because they, if you put down a liquid treatment, they walk kind of on their tippy toes and it doesn't really get into their system the dust collects on the hair on their body and you get a much better contact so also eliminate any food sources that they will be eating. Just an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of pesticide so I hope this has been helpful. I'm Michael Piacenza, good day.
