"Hey there I'm Bill Connolly, your artist and cartoonist extraordinaire and ever wondered how to draw with oil pastels? It's really cool because you can do some of the line with it, get your outline down and then go in and use some of those same tones to, this may go off the page a little bit but give this guy a mustache. You can start off in a monochromatic way just with the one color here an then add your different values all the way from shines in the hair to the lighter colors here, fill the darks to the lights, you can go in and just start giving it a little more definition there and he has got some there. You can see already, you can see how the light is hitting the face at the side, same thing with the hair. You go in and you can also if you have got a big area that you want to do, take this paper off and take the side of your oil pastel and just do a whole big area, the light area or background area like that and they are very versatile, the types of lines you can get whether it is a regular sharp line or big wide areas like a landscape or something like that. I'm Bill Connolly your artist and cartoonist extraordinaire and thanks for watching."
