"Hi, my name is Charlotte Skiles. I am a nutrition consultant and clinical herbalist with Eat in Peace Wellness Consulting located in Austin, Texas, and today I will be addressing when to take apple cider vinegar. Well, you can take it whenever you like really. I mean, you just add a teaspoon to a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar diluted in water and enjoy. Very specifically, I would recommend it upon waking as that is the time when the gall bladder is ready to get going and start secreting its bile. That sour taste in the morning honors the circadian rhythm of the body meaning how our physiology relates to the movement of the sun and the day, so having it first thing in the morning really facilitates good digestion on an empty stomach. Other good times to take apple cider vinegar would be before or with meals. You know, really once again the object is to facilitate good digestion, acidify the stomach. Get that bile flowing so that you can digest fats well, and it's simple as that. So, a lot of people enjoy taking it in the afternoon for a little energy boost, so add a little bit of honey to the mix or a little bit of molasses and you get a nice little energy lift, so that's when I would recommend taking apple cider vinegar."
