"O.k, DIRECTV trouble shooting problems. If you have a problem with your DIRECTV system, the best thing to do is grab the remote control and hit the menu button on the remote and up on the screen, you'll see a different menu list, and what you do is you scroll down to where it says "set up" and hit the select button in the middle of the remote, then you'll go to another sub menu and go to system setup, and when you go to system setup, then you can go down to the second selection which is satellite, and once you go into satellite, it'll allow you to view the signal strength of the satellite. Once you do that, it will give you signal strength readings of certain satellites I believe, there we go, and you have a different numbers here after the satellite, and this one for satellite one ten, I'm getting signal readings here, which are very strong, so that's a good indication that those signals are good. Also, here for satellite one nineteen, and we also, for this particular system we have ninety nine degree satellite, and that is reading good and 103 is reading good. So, if all of your satellite readings are good, you can go to done and repeat satellite setup if you're still having a problem, your receiver might be having a problem because it needs to be reset, go into the satellite dish setup menu, hit the dash button on the remote, and it'll walk you through certain aspects of the setup system and then you can go to continue. Also, if this doesn't satisfy your problem you can also unplug the receiver from the power and then wait thirty seconds and then plug it back in, which will reset the receiver and that will probably take care of your problem as well."
