How many steps is enough? Some reports that ten thousand steps are the magic number per day. I think your amount of steps should be based on each individual. A goal of between seven to nine thousand has been shown that that's active to highly active. Ten thousand, the perfect number. Anything over ten thousand is highly active. Of course, you're going to want to keep in mind, sedentary lifestyles, chronic illnesses, those numbers are always going to tend to be lower. But your goal is to be between eight and ten. A great way to supplement extra steps into your daily life is by taking step aerobics, stepper, walking on the treadmill, or just grabbing your bicycle and getting moving. A great way to find out how many steps your are taking per day is to purchase a pedometer. It's worn on belt, or even there's some that you can wear around your ankle. That's going to keep track of how many steps you are taking per day. You might be surprised in just your everyday work how much you are taking.
