"One of the first things that comes to my mind when I think about gastric bypass surgery is nutrition. In my opinion, I think bypass surgery could be avoided with the right nutrition. Six meals a day spread out, breakfast, lunch and dinner, small portions balanced with protein, good carbs and good fats. Snacks in between that are also just as balanced and just as healthy. Another thing that I loved to do with people to avoid surgery is exercise. Exercise, free weights, cardiovascular, just getting yourself moving, getting the circulation flowing, getting the heart rate up, that's an excellent idea for avoiding surgery. There are alternatives to gastric bypass, nutrition, exercise, you want to consult your physician before you take part in any of these program but they are definitely worth your time before you would risk surgery."
