"LCD TV Reviews. Most of the reviews that are coming out for LCD TVs now are very favorable because they reproduce a very strong bright picture, very clear picture, without consuming a lot of electricity. That tends to be very favorable in these times. This particular television is an LCD TV and there's almost nothing that is unfavorable about them. LCD TVs also have a very good reputation for longevity. Whereas plasma TVs did not have a very good reputation because of the early generation of plasmas had some picture quality loss where LCDs have been performing very well since the first time that they were produced. They also of course consume less electricity so it makes it more favorable as well. Also, some preferences on TVs would be to lean towards the larger names that have been around for many years because they're the ones that are still producing a very good quality television set. Sony, Samsung, Panasonic, Sharp... those are very reliable names out in the industry today. You've got to be careful of some of the off brands. They don't offer as long of a warranty as some of the bigger brands and they don't offer service. So after the warranty expires, it's very difficult to get them repaired."
