How to Use an iPod as a Hard Drive

"Hi, I'm Ben from The Cellphone Broker in San Jose, California. Today I'm going to show you how to use your iPod as a portable hard drive. You can use this device for more than just using music, video and stuff like that. You can also hook it up to your computer. Drag and drop files into it and use it as a little portable hard drive. So you can transfer you know, Word files and stuff like that. So I'm going to show you how to do that, right now. The first thing you're going to do is, you're going to plug in the USB cable to the iPod and to the computer. Now iTunes will automatically pop up and try to sync the iPod with my iTunes Library. We can just skip that. We don't we don't have to. What we can then do is, open up the little icon that pops up right here on the Desktop. I could then take a document like this. So I can take this type of document and just drag it right here into this iPod anywhere in here. You probably don't need to put it into one of these folders. You can just drag it in here. And then what I'm going to do is, I'm going to come over here. I'm going to take this little iPod icon. And I'm going to drag it down to the Garbage Can. So that it ejects the device. So once I eject it. I can then unplug it. And now you won't be able to view the file that I just put on here. From the iPod. But when you plug it into another computer or plug it back into this computer. You will then be able to see that, that file you can transfer it on to your computer.
