"Hi, my name is Paege Chafin and I'm the owner and executive chef for Roman Gardens Restaurant in St. Petersburg, Florida and today we're going to talk about how long fresh parsley lasts. Fresh parsley will last up to two weeks in the refrigerator depending on how high your humidity controller is in your drawer for your fresh veggies. How to get it to last is after it's been bought from the store, in four or five days, you'll see the stems start to turn a little bit on the bottoms. So you would take all the parsley out of it's existing bag, cut off the bottoms of the stems and put it back in a new bag with a slightly damp paper towel. The best way is to wrap the paper towel around the parsley when you put it in the bag. The paper towel needs to be changed every three or four days because the parsley will absorb the water from the paper towel. So make sure you do check it. If it looks a little dry to you, just go ahead and put another one in there and you can, you can use the parsley as you go. It's going to stay nice and green for you. You may have a flu, few little yellow leaves on it but the yellow leaves taste just the same as the green ones so make sure you're careful. Keep that paper towel wet and enjoy your parsley. And that's how you take care of fresh parsley once it's home with you instead of at the produce store and my name is Paege Chafin from Roman Gardens Restaurant in St. Petersburg, Florida. Have a great day."
