Hi my name is Lauren and I am here to discuss thinning hair. There are a few different things that cause thinning hair. One of them is it is heredity. If male pattern baldness does run within your family unfortunately there is not much that you can do in order to prevent it because your hair genetically is just known to start to fall out at that precise time. Another thing is medications. Medications will actually promote thinning hair and if you lose hair it is one of the side effects. If medication is one of the reasons that you feel that your hair is thinning and you are getting somewhat bald spots then you can consult your physician and find out if you can move on to another medication or if there is anything you can do to counteract that side effect. Nutrition is actually a very known reason for losing hair. You have to make sure you have a well balanced diet, high in omega three fatty acids which is salmon, soybeans, nuts anything of that nature. You also want to make sure that you take a multivitamin and eat well balanced. You want lots of greens and vegetables. So that way you get the nutrients and minerals that your body needs. Another thing that can cause thinning hair is actually stress. Thinning hair is stress related so if you are finding that you are under high volumes of hair and therefore losing your hair you might want to find some sort of outlet in order to relieve yourself of that stress so that way you avoid getting thinning your hair even more. Another reason that you can actually have thinning hair because there are multiple is change of season. Usually we tend to use about 100 pieces of hair per day however, when the seasons start to change we seem to lose a good bit more. If that is a completely natural way of thinning and it is kind of expected, that hair will regrow and regenerate itself without you doing anything. If you are finding that your hair is not regrowing then it could be something more hormonal so again you would want to consult your physician and that is the reasons why your hair thins.
