Hi my name is Lauren and today I'm here to discuss Folica ceramic hair straighteners. Folica is a little bit of a better hair straightener than a metal on is. It's a better conductor of heat and therefore will distribute the heat evenly throughout the entire plate. The electrical cord, or the electrical outlet of it will run currents through the top of the actual flat iron and coils. The metal coils will heat up the plates. Folica will heat up a little bit more evenly and it'll also likely be a little bit snag free. Some metal plates because of the uneven distribution of heat wind up burning certain parts of you hair or even just create like spots. They will also be a little bit more damaging to your hair. The Folica will actually help your hair maintain some it's health and vigor. So that way you don't have to worry about burning it. Another good thing to do although this iron is better for you than other irons, is I would definitely use a thermal heat protectant, and always whenever using a thermal tool spray your hair. You want to spray your hair, section it, go right through, and as you can see even with the product on it the tool goes right through the hair and you don't have to worry so much about it. It won't snag, it won't grab, it also leaves you with a very even, very nice frizz-free straight hair with a little bit of a shine. Definitely I would recommend using something with Folica, or even like ceramic, just in order to really help your hair and you know infuse some of those negative electrons back in without stripping it of the moisture. If you are going to be purchasing a straight iron I do recommend, however, regardless of which straight iron you use is not to use it on a daily basis but to use more or less 2 or 3 times a week. Those who use it on a daily basis despite what it's made out of, or the product, will wind up having a little bit more damage to their hair and will over time break down their keratin bonds. And that is about Folica hair straighteners.
