"Hi my name is Lauren and today I am here to discuss how to make a Pompadour. A Pompadour is a traditional guys haircut, some women do wear it at this given point with the new trends happening. However what it is it is basically a squared off in the back haircut, it is very short on the sides very short in the top area however this bang area it still remains long. What you are going to actually wind up doing is bringing all of this very short and a lot shorter than what this is, if you notice the difference in the length, it is a lot longer in this section. The shorter pieces you are going to brush forward because that is going to help you get that lift for the Pompadour. You are going to put a little bit of styling product in your hair maybe a little bit of spray. And you are actually going to lift your hair up. And roll it over. You push forward and it will give that little bit of that bend. And a little bit of that height. This was a very classic style within the like fifties, forties. A lot of men wore this, so you would bring it up and over and then just kind of push it in so that way it gets a little bit of a bend and it goes up and then back down and then the rest of the hair is all short so it will help it stay and it will help increase that little bit of bend in the front. And that is how you style a Pompadour."
